MEET THE FOUNDER

Working in Private Practice:

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I love working in private practice. I have had the opportunity to provide personalized mental health support to many clients throughout the last 18 years, first as an Occupational Therapist and then as an RCC.

Increased Demand During the Pandemic:

The pandemic led to a surge of clients reaching out to me for counselling support, causing my practice to grow beyond capacity. Despite the overwhelming demand, I struggled with turning away clients ready to delve into their counselling experience.

Expansion into Clinical Supervision:

In August 2020, I started working as associate faculty at a university, providing clinical supervision to counselling students. Witnessing their growth and potential, I envisioned the possibility of working with some of these students once they completed their masters.

Formation of Boundless Heart Counselling Group:

Recognizing the need to expand my practice, I took the bold step to establish a group counselling practice. I invited remarkable budding counsellors, as well as experienced clinicians to join my newly forming group.

Building a Supportive Team at Boundless Heart Counselling Group:

My vision of creating a counselling group with clinicians who are intelligent, wise, heartful, vulnerable and energized came to fruition with the amazing individuals who make up the Boundless Heart Counselling Group team. Their commitment and expertise contribute to the success and growth at Boundless Heart Counselling Group.

Overall, this journey reflects resilience, adaptability and a deep commitment to providing quality counselling services to those in need. Boundless Heart Counselling Group embodies our dedication to supporting clients in a nurturing, collaborative, supportive community of clinicians.

About Me

I live with my partner, two teenagers and our whoodle named Groot. I spend my time outside of work with my family and friends. I love to exercise and am addicted to “The Class” (Google it … it’s a combo of aerobics, dance, pilates, yoga, meditation) and strength training. I am a theatre goer and a lover of British detective shows. In quieter moments, I enjoy reading and meditating. Over the past few years, I have become a kayaking enthusiast! In the Summer of 2023 I went on a week long kayaking trip, and wrote an article on our blog about the experience. If you’re interested in reading about it, click the link below!
